Volunteers

The Uniting Church Synod of NSW and the ACT values the contribution of each member of our community who volunteers their time and effort, as we work together to make a Jesus-shaped difference in the world.

The Cooma Uniting Church has a band of volunteers from our community who are willing at anytime to volunteer their services. In the recent past volunteers from our church have helped with Meals on Wheels, Cooma Courthouse Coffee, and Breakfast Club at Cooma Public School, serving toast and Milo once a week before school starts. These services were halted during Covid, and our church is currently holding talks with the Cooma schools on how our volunteers can help the schools in various activities. The schools have also introduced new rules for volunteers working with children, and the Education Department has taken on more responsibility in doing some of the activities that our church previously performed.

Our church currently has an adequate number of existing volunteers to perform the current estimated volunteer workload.

Should our volunteer services increase, our church will actively seek additional volunteers including putting a notice on this our website.

Information on some of the documents provided by the Cooma Uniting Church concerning the involvement of volunteers may be obtained as per below.
